WORLD ONLINE's internal infrasture includes a growing array of high-end servers, routers and RAIDs (redundant arrays of inexpensive drives) all connected on an OC-12 trunk line, providing 100 TIMES the throughput of a T-1! What this means to the dial-up customer is, in a word, SPEED! Even with the same modem, users will see a substantial difference even browsing the web, as typical routing through many servers and hubs (hopping) is completely eliminated.
An unlimited internet dial-up account is only $14.95 per month for up to 56K in bandwidth, including email, newsgroups and a Personal membership in CARNET. This access fee does not include local modem or telephone line. There is a $25 setup fee.
Unlimited ISDN access is available for $17/month for a single channel (64K) or $32/month for a dual channel (128K) connection, including email, newsgroups and a Personal membership in CARNET.These access fees do not include local required hardware (ISDN modem) or local telephone lines and services.
To obtain a WORLD ONLINE dialup account, one must only go to the "Signup" section of this website and submit a simple form to instantly receive their new dialup numbers, email address, username and password. Your new access charges will be billed to your credit card account, and there are no other connection fees, set-up fees or other charges besides your monthly charge descrbed above.
